Is this the start of something? Why do I feel this is very paranormal and could be the coming of someone?

It's the death of the sacred, Kali Yuga or Revelation style.
I think is insightful when he says that it was someone's intrusive thoughts, not because it was a random impulse (it was clearly premeditated) but because intrusive thoughts tell you to do things you shouldn't, such as desecrating sacred things. The Mona Lisa isn't technically sacred but it is almost legendary.

Or maybe deranged people have been looking for irl (you)s forever, and vandalizing famous art and stuff is easier than learning how to do anything worthwhile.- Anonymous

Attacks on Mona have happened before -- that's why it is behind bullet proof glass.
Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci has long been attracting vandals and is currently one of the best-protected artworks. On 30 December 1956, a young Bolivian man named Ugo Ungaza Villegas threw a rock at the painting; this resulted in the loss of a speck of pigment near the left elbow, which was later painted over.[47]
In April 1974, a disabled woman, upset by the museum's inaccessibility, sprayed red paint at the painting while it was on display at the Tokyo National Museum. On 2 August 2009, a Russian woman, distraught over being denied French citizenship, threw a terracotta mug or teacup, purchased at the museum, at the painting in the Louvre; the vessel shattered against the glass enclosure. In both cases, the painting was undamaged. - Anonymous

It is not unusual at all. Some other examples:
The Rokeby Venus by Diego Velázquez. Suffrtagette with a meat cleaver.
Michelangelo's Pietá (Piety) bashed by guy with a hammer.
Guernica by Pablo Picasso, spray-painted with 'LIES ALL LIES' and 'KILL'. Danaë by Rembrandt. Defaced by a knife thrust into Danaë's lower belly, and a litre of sulphuric acid thrown over the painting.
The Virgin and Child with St Anne and St John the Baptist by Leonardo da Vinci. Shotgunned!
Myra by Marcus Harvey. Defaced in September 1997 at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Ink and eggs.
My Bed sculptural piece by Tracey Emin. Two people jumped on the exhibit and had a pillow fight.
The Buddhas of Bamiyan. Destroyed in situ by the Taliban in 2001.
Margaret Thatcher marble statue by Neil Simmons Defaced at the Guildhall Art Gallery in London.
Scallop by Maggi Hambling. Vandalized with paint numerous times.
Le Pont d'Argenteuil by Claude Monet. Drunken intruders punched a hole in the painting.
The Thinker by Auguste Rodin. Spray-painted with pink flesh, green hair and a black shoulder tattoo.
Black on Maroon (1958) by Mark Rothko, Seagram mural series. Defaced by a Russian-born artist attempting to promote 'yellowism'.
The Spear by Brett Murray. Defaced in 2012 in Johannesburg.
Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa, was depicted with exposed penis. It was defaced twice, firstly his face and penis were crossed out with red paint, then a separate defacement smeared black paint.
Three Figures by Anna Leporskaya. Vandalised by a ‘bored’ gallery guard who drew eyes on the figures with a ball-point pen.
The list could go on for pages. Art vandalism is pretty common.- Anonymous

Welcome to the Kali yuga. Art is sacred, atleast it's supposed to be. The job of the artist is to reach into the subconscious and bring things back into our world.
However, art has been taken over and commodified. And because people's values have been switched to kitschy commodities and brain numbing tech, art which makes you feel or think is seen as boring or morally corrupt due to it being cooped by the elite who don't give a sh*t about it either. -

Anonymous Reminder Nathan Damigo (pictured) would punch the sh*t out of anyone trying to deface the Mona Lisa, and Emily Rose Marshall (also pictured) would approve of the desecration.

No, and this is not even the first time that someone has vandalized the Mona Lisa:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mona_Lisa#Refuge,_theft_and_vandalismAttention seekers have been doing vandalism for a long time, there's not really anything particularly paranormal about it.

I doubt it is even the real painting. I saw it years ago and there was a sign next to it reading "no flash photography", with dozens of tourist flashes going off and nobody intervening. My conclusion: the one on display is a fake for tourists. Makes most sense.

The thing is, Mona isn't even that pretty. The painting isn't even that amazing. By historical chance it's simply a symbol of all things great in Western art. There's art far greater. It's the symbol the wierdo was attacking. The idea.
