Yep you guessed it ME!!!

Has anyone in their nail tech career done something so stupid they just want the ground to swallow them up???

well it happened to me last night...i started a full set of natural nail enhancements everything was going well until my bottle of adhesive ran out..no worries i have some more in my draw......EEEKKKK!!! no i don't!!!

oh my god i just did not know what to do, i was frantically looking through the draws until i thought s**t i'm just gonna have to tell her the truth there was nothing i could do!! i told her i'd ran out and she was the sweetest client you could of asked for in that situation..how unprofessional was i!! bless her she's having to come back tonight for her another hand.

To top it off i've just come into work with natural yoghurt dripping all down my legs as it burst in the bag i was carrying my lunch in whichhas left a trail from my car to work!! i bet people thought i had some kind of STD or something!!

think it's going to be one of those weeks!!! :Scared:

Lamps for my gel. Without the lamp, it does kind of make it hard to use gel:lol:

Had a mobile client who had the flowery predesigned tips. Toddled off to her appointment. Alas she had broken three. Alas I had forgotten the bloody tips! Had to go back later.

Most embarassing moment - dropped an open bottle of topcoat on a client's laminate floor, it went everywhere, but thankfully it cleaned up. It was my first appointment with her too, she's still my client 4 years later!

PHEW!! i'm glad i'm not the only one!!

Because i was so ashamed i told her i would complete the set free of charge, i know i'm not meant to discount treatments but that was the only thing i could think of that would remedy the situation!

i won't let it happen again i'm gonna but ten bottles of it at the show on sunday.

Pen I think as a gesture of goodwill free of charge is a good idea. I'd have done the same!

I forgot my lamp! Doh!!

I'm such a moron sometimes!!

As for the yoghurt incident - mine was.....looked after my baby goddaughter and unknown to me was that she had spewed down my back.

I knew I could smell it but I just thought it was me being paranoid!

Anyhow after walking round town and getting some funny looks I knew something was wrong. Got in the car, took my cardigan off and yep it was all there smothered down my back!

It had also gone all over my car seat - nice!

I heaved all the way home.

Sorry but pmsl!!

About the glue, learn from the lesson. Always check your stock - once a week or so! In a salon where I worked, they ran out of the colour gel I was using on a customer! She had to come back a couple of days after to finish off her overlays!

Just have a laugh about it all!! Bet you wont run out of glue, but you will be out of yoghurt at that rate, lol!

lol...ahhh..poor chick...wouldnt worry though i did a very stupid thing last night too...i have a bottle with some acetone in that looks just like the cuticle remover...picked it up and squeezed it all over her nails thinking it was the remover...nope..acetone....ooopppps...good job it was a loyal client that i have been doing for over a year now...i felt so bad...she just laughed and said...if i hadn't have said anything she wouldn't have thought it was anything other than a hand wash....lol...next time I'll keep my mouth shut and pretend its all part of the service...lol...i gave her a mini sensations for being so understanding...now i have put the acetone in another bottle and away from my prep stuff....lesson well and truly learned. xxx

It just shows you that you are only human honey. In an ideal world we would have stocks and stocks of things.

I came stuck on Saturday when I was doing 2 sets of nails. Ran out of files, but on the Friday went to the suppliers at 4.55pm and it was shut! the blooming suppliers is shut on a Saturday too! The nearest one was 20 miles away.

Luckily for me, the ladies sister was going into Guildford and she kindly popped into Sally's.

It was and is embarassing but it prepares you for next time!

Lmao I've done that!! My friend came over to have her nails done for her sisters hen pary. Got everyhing out, and realised I'd left both brushes at work :smack:
Had to paint the nails instead with some nail art lol.

I'm always dropping things when doing nails, I'm so clumsy lol. My fils goes flying and several times I've dropped nail enamels, with heir tops off so the enamel cos eveywhere. I just apologise and laugh it off! Most of my clients think I'm a nutter anyway haha Dumb ass nail tech of the year Award goes to.... (27)

I once went to do my mates nails and I forgot my forms... no problem I thought I have tips .. but I didn't have my glue! Luckily she found it hillarious and I dont live too far so it only took a few mins to get it!

I try to be more organised now.
